It's love at first haunting in a seaside town that raises everyone’s spirits in this new series from USA Today bestselling author Jen DeLuca. Small Florida coastal towns often find themselves scrambling for the tourism dollars that the Orlando theme parks leave behind. And within the town limits of Boneyard Key, the residents decided long ago to lean into its ghostliness. Nick Royer, owner of the Hallowed Grounds coffee shop, embraces the ghost tourism that keeps the local economy afloat, as well as his spectral roommate. At least he doesn’t have to run air-conditioning. Cassie Rutherford possibly overreacted to all her friends getting married and having kids by leaving Orlando and buying a flipped historic cottage in Boneyard Key. Though there’s something unusual with her new home (her laptop won’t charge in any outlets, and the poetry magnets on her fridge definitely didn’t read “WRONG” and “MY HOUSE” when she put them up), she’s charmed by the colorful history surrounding her. And she's catching a certain vibe from the grumpy coffee shop owner whenever he slips her a free slice of banana bread along with her coffee order. As Nick takes her on a ghost tour, sharing town gossip that tourists don't get to hear, and they spend nights side-by-side looking into the former owners of her haunted cottage, their connection solidifies into something very real and enticing. But Cassie's worried she’s in too deep with this whole (haunted) home ownership thing…and Nick's afraid to get too close in case Cassie gets scared away for good.

Haunted Ever After by Jen DeLuca
This is the cutest spooky rom-com I've ever read!
Cassie makes a big change when she buys a home away from her friends in a place known to be haunted. It's the biggest tourist attraction in town but when her home also has a resident ghost and she isn't happy.. Cassie wonders if she made a big mistake!!
Cassie is great! She really puts up with a lot with her new house and because she can't charge her laptop in her house, she has to go to the local coffee place where she meets the handsome hunk Nick. Sparks fly! I love the chemistry between them! Her house though and her ghost.. seems to have a weird effect on Nick!
I loved the spooky town and all the ghosts! I want to visit. It was my favorite read of August!
Small town romance is the best and this one is perfect for Halloween!

A beachy, cozy, romance that will make you want some ghosts and banana bread in your life.
This book gave me all the warm fuzzy feelings. The setting of Boneyard Key is full of ghosts, but in a fun non threatening way. There are some goosebump-inducing moments but nothing terrifying. I’d almost go as far to say it was heartwarming to read about how kindly the town treats the ghosts amongst them.
The romance is easy without being too insta-lovey. It has enough challenges to drive the plot but not so many that you worry they won’t work through them. I’m honestly surprised how much I loved reading this book and I can’t wait for more.
I’d absolutely recommend this any time of the year, but it would be an especially great option for readers looking for softer spooky options around Halloween. More Casper the Friendly Ghost vibes than Poltergeist.
This was delightful! A coffeeshop with a friendly texting ghost? A haunted house with a mysterious bad vibe? An adorable romance? Ghost tours??? All of this is delightful and then there's a beach bum ghost who gets paid beer tribute
