The set up of an apron and linen shop stretched believability in my mind, but the author did a good job telling us about Iris' education, online sales, and antique linen sourcing.
The romance is not insta-love or old romance rekindled and they are taking it slow. So I thought that was good for book 1.
The solution had more twists than I expected. I picked up on the clues and there was a payoff with them. So I liked that I what I expected to happen did happen and I was also surprised as well. One clue does come late into the story, but I prefer that to the sleuth not seeing the main clue for most of the book.
