I have absolutely loved this Laura Pavlov binge I've been on the last few weeks! I capped it off with her newest release, Into the Tide. This book follows Hugh and Lila and is set in the small town of Cottonwood Cove. Hugh is a loyal man especially to his friends and family, and Lila is his best friend's little sister who's on a journey to find herself and prove her independence after she graduates college. After hiring Lila for a summer job before she starts her professional life in Chicago, Hugh is unable to deny his attraction to her. This is another amazing example of brother's best friend romance that is so sweet but also so sexy. We even get a glimpse of the girls from the Honey Mountain series and that made me so so happy! Laura Pavlov has become an auto buy author for me and I've already preordered the rest of this series! Into the Tide is an adult romance, 18+ for sexual content and themes.
A cute start, bouncing off the honey mountain series.
Nice we get to get a quick glimpse of the Thomas girls in this one!
Lila is back in her hometown for the summer, and working for her brother's best friend's restaurant. She ends up living in his guest house as well so they see a lot of each other.
Hugh starts to help Lila with her “snow day list” a bucket list for what she wants to accomplish this summer. Losing her v-card is one of them. She wants it to be with him, but he doesn't want to cross that line. She's his best friends sister, she's leaving in two months, he can't cross that line because he can't go back to being just friends after this.

I loved this book so much! The first 250 pages were amazing. I literally read the book in about 24 hours. That doesn't happen to me very often. I was HOOKED! I loved the story line and the slow burn and the feels. That being said, I feel like the last part of the book was rushed through which was kind of sad because the first 60% of the book was paced perfectly. Overall it was a great read and I know I say this every time, but I'm stoked for the next one.
