IQ the rat is the class pet in Mrs Furber's class but he doesn't want to just be the class pet: he wants to be student of the week. All year long he learns what the children in the class are learning. He learns his shapes, his colours, how to count to ten on his paws and many other things but as the end of the year approaches he still hasn't achieved his goal. Will IQ get his dream of being student of the week before the year is over?
