Joseph McElroy Collection

The Joseph McElroy collection contains 37 cataloged Hollinger boxes and 28 uncatalogued Hollinger boxes with the materials in these boxes spanning 34 years from 1953 to 1987. Series I of the collection, correspondence, contains both cataloged and uncatalogued correspondence and spans 4 boxes. In all there are possibly 500 letters, 306 of those are cataloged and kept in individual folders. Series II, Reviews, is comprised of only 1 box and contains reviews by McElroy. Finally, Series III, Manuscripts, contains drafts of various books written by McElroy. Among these works, there are more than 21,000 manuscript pages of Women & Men which have been already cataloged. In all, drafts and other materials about Women & Men comprise about half of this collection, including the materials that haven't been cataloged.
