“Aelin looked at Chaol and Dorian and sobbed. Opened her arms to them, and wept as they held each other. “I love you both,” she whispered. “And no matter what may happen, no matter how far we may be, that will never change.”

Even though i did not love the series, i still enjoyed it and i have so many characters i adore. it's a great story and it's amazing how far it developed throughout the years. However, the final did drag more than it should've. Some parts were still impressive, i loved how everything was tied seamlessly and how all the characters teamed up, it was nice to see all those interactions. one of my favorite parts is when the original trio (Aelin, Chaol and Dorian) came together, I thought we should've gotten more of them since the story started with them. Their final farewell was so bittersweet and probably my favorite scene in the entire series. But a huge portion felt very boring and repetitive. I reached a point when all i looked for is to finish. The author created memorable characters especially the side characters but after collecting my thoughts and seeing this in retrospect, the series was simply not for me.
