Legacy Witches

This was a slow to start one for me but once it got going, I enjoyed it. Loved the sassy demon house and the friendship between Vianna and Dee. I'm curious to see where the next one will go!

This was fine.

Female main character is supposed to be part of a witch coven, but refuses. She tries to change their generational way of life. She fights the big bad.

It appears from the author's note that there will be a sequel. Won't be reading. I'm guessing the sequel will be based on the main character's child, which is just off brand for what the main character said she wanted (to NOT pass on the house and legacy blood, etc). But they introduced a “love interest” at the end so that's my guess.

Vianna Roots is a witch. She comes from a long line of witches. Not your average earth witches either. Her ancestors are mostly murderous. She never wanted to be like them or the others in the Coven, so she fled in the middle of the night and never looked back.

Ten years later, and her mother has died. Vianna has to return to her childhood house of horrors and see if she can sell it. Her plan is to bury her mom, sell the house, and get out of there as fast as possible.

The Coven and the house have different plans for Vianna.

I thought this was great! I loved Vianna, but I think Sandeen was my favorite character. Loved the house and the murderous, witchy vibes.
