I enjoyed this one. Not perfect, the MC was annoying at times but it was very readable and fun! I REALLY liked the ending and the “moral” of the story if you will and two people coming together, learning from each other, and tweaking parts about themselves to make themselves better. Very sweet :)
I won the Kindle copy of this book via a Goodreads giveaway and I was ecstatic because Sophie Kinsella is one of my favorite authors! This is my honest review in exchange and gratitude for it.
In usual Sophie Kinsella fashion, this book had me in stitches! It's a sweet romantic comedy that warmed my heart and reminded me that often the best things in life show up when we stop looking in the usual places. Sometimes when we get out of our own way and throw caution to the wind and just go for it, we can find what we really need. I loved this and would like to thank Random House for the digital copy.
I've actually saved it up. Seriously. Bought it as usual pre-order - even if it would be a pleasant surprise to know there's something by Sophie Kinsella I haven't read, I'm always chasing her and looking over her shoulder like ‘so, is it done yet?'. - but in a year like 2020, one needs all the joy one can save. So I did. And then, on Christmas, instead of eating my mother's food, I've tried to make something happen with my own oven and then read Love your life in a sitting.
Of course I wasn't disappointed. I never am. Even if her characters are somewhat similar or quirky or silly or immature in the same mold, I love them all, I love the way things work out in the end, I love the rom com surprises, I love the sighs. I love it. Thanks for another comfortable, cozy, lovely hot cocoa for my soul, Mrs Kinsella.
