If you're going to have a character who is so incredibly Italian that she despises American pizza, she probably wouldn't love hazelnut lattes or give her kid a foreign spelling of an Italian name. I know this observation makes me a pill.
this is such a cute friends to lover romance that's so cozy and has perfect fall, winter, holiday vibes! if you like gilmore girls, you'd like this.
This was my first contemporary romance/ROMCOM and it was really cute. It made me chuckle at times, but I also found myself getting frustrated with the FMC a bit. The MMC is literally the sweetest. The third act conflict was kind of annoying. If you're looking for smut, this isn't it, but if you're looking for a quick, adorable Hallmark-type movie with likeable characters, found family vibes with very subtle spice and a HEA, then give it a try.
This book was just a hallmark Christmas movie. But it takes places over thanksgiving.
It's cute and it's a quick read. It's delightful. I loved it.
There are so many 5-star reviews for this book... I thought I was the only one hating it.
The fake-dating trope is one of my most favourite and I was looking forward to reading this book.
I don't usually like the friends to lovers part. Or at least I need some flashbacks on really great moments that made them fall for each other which I didn't get in this book.
I didn't particularly care about the story but there were some cute moments and I was going to give it 3 stars.
However, I really hate when there's not an actual conflict and the whole plot is based on miscommunication or total lack of communication. It just drives me crazy! The heroine really made everything in her power to sabotage the relationship up until the very last pages. The hero literally told her, plain and simple, that he loved her. And she was like “No, you don't.” ( me: facepalm). So definitely a 2-star book for me.
Take a hallmark Christmas movie, add some sex scenes and you've got an incredibly boring book full of goofy characters and an unbelievable romance. It's pretty bad tbh
I'm so happy I waited to read this book around Christmas time and I can see this becoming a comfort book to read around the holidays. I loved the main characters (I loved all the characters tbh) and I wasn't that upset with the third act conflict (it wasn't that bad and it was definitely worth it ❤️). I'm so excited to continue the series.
This book doesn't deserve anything less than a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
this was as warm as the room with a fireplace or a heater. luka was the warmest, sunshine i have come across. i loved the fact that the most anxiety-filled plot was when someone broke into the farm and not the plot twist between the two mcs.
3.5/5
This was such a cute little book! It felt like stepping into a less cheesy version of a Hallmark movie.
3.5. It was a good book and I'd recommend it, but I had my issues with the last third of the book. The first two thirds were sweet and enjoyable. A friends to lovers story with fake dating. Classic. But the level of denial our FMC, Stella, had was so ridiculous that it just annoyed me. I get the “let's not ruin this friendship” fear, but the way that part was written made me want to yell at her. I really dislike when authors write women like they're dumb. If they had wanted to go with that line of thinking for her, at least make his declaration a little less clear, straightforward, and perfect.
I think this is a wonderful Christmas romance. Good amount of buildup and great resolution. The dialogue to get there wasn't great, but it was a fun time. Merry Christmas, everyone!

This was about as exciting as a lukewarm decaf coffee.
There was zero spark between the two main characters and I was already bored of them denying their feelings by 25% but kept on going. Absolutely nothing happened by the time I gave up so I was just bored.
Happy publication day! This is a feel good and cosy reading all year around, but especially perfect for the holiday season!
Lovelight farms is a nice friends to lovers, small town, holiday romance. The story follows Stella, who owns a tree farm in a small town and is in love with her best friend Luka since she met him 10 years ago.
The farm is experiencing some financial problems, and Stella decides to participate in an influencer's contest, whose prize would significantly help the farm's finances. However, Stella lied on her application and said she co-owned the farm with her boyfriend, forcing her to start a not so fake relationship with Luka.
I really liked B. K. Borison writing style and loved the small town setting, which gave me some nice Gilmore Girl vibes.
Both main and supporting characters are likable and I was immediately engaged with their story and invested in their HEA.
This was a debut novel and, despite the bits of miscommunication, I thoroughly enjoyed the book and I must say it is one of my favorite holiday readings. I'm excited to continue reading the series, especially Beck and Evie story.
I would like to thank Pan Macmillan and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I wasn't terribly engaged in this one. It took a while to get through, even though I was listening to the audiobook. I thought it was just OK. I'm not sure if I'll read the rest of the series, but I may.
2.5 stars
Glad I read it even though the FMC was so dense about her relationship. It was a cute Christmastime romance in a sweet setting. For anyone looking for a holiday romance, I’d say go for it.
I wanted a holiday romance and with “[b:Lovelight Farms 61280442 Lovelight Farms (Lovelight, #1) B.K. Borison https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1655115097l/61280442.SY75.jpg 93652295]” by [a:B.K. Borison 21951491 B.K. Borison https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1640721788p2/21951491.jpg] I got one - but it was slightly weird and unusual. Friends-to-lovers has never been very interesting to me but in this case, it's more like platonic-lovers-to-lovers.»He meets me in the living room, extending a hand to help me from my crouched position on the floor. There's no jolt of electricity when our skin touches, just the sweet, settling warmth I always feel.«For nine years, Stella and Luka have been in love and everyone knows it but themselves. Not a single person in their small hometown has told either of them - they opened a betting pool instead. Both Luka and Stella individually know they're in love with the other but neither actually does anything about it until Stella takes part in the contest of an influencer and lies that she owns her Xmas tree farm together with her boyfriend...They've basically been faking being friends for nine years. Thus, there was not the slightest doubt how this book would end. The only real issue being Stella's fear of abandonment which leads to a (thankfully) short-lived mini-conflict.My second minor gripe is something more personal: My birthday (23.12.!), Xmas and the end of the year have always been a time of family (re)union: My siblings are quite a few years older than me and they moved out early. They mostly came home for my birthday and Xmas and while those days never were untroubled, some of my favourite (and worst) memories involve that time. When I grew older, I would drive home myself - and when I married (it will be 23 years tomorrow) and we founded our own family (my oldest child is 22 :) ) we kept celebrating as a family. This Xmas my daughter (she moved out this year
Cute holiday read!!!
Friends to lovers, fake dating.
Insert Taylor swift's mastermind here (Luka is SO the mastermind of this love story) even if Stella suggested the fake dating, Luka played the long game.
Cute light hearted read
Perfect cute holiday read. I smiled reading this book (in a day and a half). Perfect read after a funk

Wow. Holy shit. I've been waiting to read this book and I'm so happy that I wasn't disappointed. It was so good.
First of all, I love Stella and Luka. They're amazing. Stella is so messy (me) while Luka is a perfectionist but he never, NEVER holds it against her and wants her to change. He simply straightens her shoes. And folds her clothes. And cooks her dinner (oh my god, is there anything sexier than a man who cooks you dinner and dances with you in the kitchen??). And he loves her with all his being. Oh my God, I'm swooning just thinking about them. I mean he couldn't sleep thinking of her, so he drove 4 hours just to get to her house in the middle of the night. Amazing.
They were so lovely together. They just fit. And I really loved how close they were and despite all they still remained the best of friends.
For a fake dating book, there wasn't much fake dating involved and I loved it. They're just so in love, everything was so natural, nothing was forced or awkward. I loved how gradual and yet immediate it all was, but not sudden. And not weird. Just perfect.
I also loved Lyla and Beckett (a hunk of a tattooed man who loves cats? SIGN ME UP), as well as Mabel and Dane. I just loved the entire community, even if they love to gossip lol. Lyla was so sweet (and I really want to eat everything she makes) and Beckett was so amazing, I loved how much they supported Stella (and Luka) and the farm. And how much they helped her once they learned the truth.
I loved the Evelyn reveal - both of them, with Beckett and the videos. It was so well done and Stella really needed this push lol. And now I'm very interested in another story in the series. I loved this one.
The only thing I didn't like (which is why it's not 5 stars) is the lack of Luka's pov until the very end and how much in denial Stella was there at the end (though thankfully it wasn't for long). I would have loved more chapters from Luka's perspective throughout the book. But I loved what we got and this was such a good book, I won't shut up about it for sure.
4.5 stars.
Oh my heart, Luka! OMG this was absolutely adorable, read in one sitting. Didn't want this story to end.
