Mass Effect: Ascension

Unlike the previous book (Mass Effect - Revelation), it took a long time to be (loosely) hooked by this one, with such a poor plot. If in the previous book you didn't have to know the Mass Effect lore, this one unfortunately requires that the reader must know about what happened in the first game, showing an adventure that just touches some major events of the ME storyline. Sometimes it seems it was hastly written, showing that the pace and rhythm was not the same all the time. I was disappointed because I felt that sometimes the reader is required to complete the gaps by himself, or worse, forced to believe in very implausible hooks.

Such as “Revelation”, “Ascension” is loosely characterized as a sci fi book, without exploring - once again - all the possibilities of this huge scenario. It's just a detective/thriller story with spaceships and aliens, that's all.

Я не осилил. Сравнительно большое произведение для поддержания вселенной компьютерной игры. Из плюсов можно отметить то, что вы узнаете кое-какие подробности из жизни героев игры, поэтому когда будете перепроходить или играть впервые то, определённо, персонажи из книги будут для вас более значимыми, потому что будет больше раскрыта. Это плюс.

Однако, когда я читаю современную художественную литературу, то невольно сравниваю её с произведениями Тургенева, Островского или Гоголя. Понятно, что неправильно сравнивать классику с фантастикой, но простота языка последней просто убивает, потому что тебе жалко тратить время на это. В фантастике обычно главным является основная идея произведения, сюжетная линия и вымышленная вселенная. Эта книга не достаточно хорошо написана, чтобы нельзя было оторваться от сюжета, она не захватывает с головой. Тебе просто интересно узнать почему произошло то, что произошло, но её сложно воспринимать самостоятельно, книга не имеет большой ценности без игры Mass Effect. Поэтому, мне надоело тянуть эту лямку и где-то на середине, я решил дальше не читать.

Las escenas de batallas están muy bien relatadas, con una violencia más cruda de lo visto en los juegos.
La historia es la precuela que señalan mucho en la saga de juegos, y es bastante clara , aunque el desarrollo de Anderson fue muy poco, se agradece saber más del porque el odio de saren y del porque Anderson no logro ser espectro.
También se agradece el enlace con sanders , que aparece en una secundaria del mass effect 2 ( o 3 , no recuerdo bien).
