Matterhorn: A Novel of the Vietnam War

A young Marine lieutenant and his comrades are dropped into the mountain jungle of Vietnam to fight not only the North Vietnamese but the mud, leeches, disease and malnutrion. Almost as daunting are the obstacles they find beteen each other: racial tension, competing ambitions and duplicious superior officers.
