This is a great thriller. Alice is strong and likable. She is suspicious of people around her, but not so much as to be unreal. The reader gets hints before a twist comes, but the twist still manages to surprise us most of the time. There were a couple things that were not hints that fooled me.
I loved the pace of the book. The twists came in a way that surprised me without making me roll my eyes because it was too perfectly placed. The characters were great, even the bad guys were believably bad. There was one twist that made me roll my eyes, but as the story progressed that twist was well incorporated and I could go back and see the clues that hinted at this twist.
The one complaint I have is that I wanted an epilogue to see what happened weeks or months or years later. Without that, it felt like a few storylines were not wrapped up. I think that was a conscious decision, but I didn't like it.
