This was very similar to “Evil Eye.” From interviews with the author, I understand this is a very personal novella for her but as someone who read “Evil Eye” and watched interviews, I felt like this was just a prologue or repeat of the book.

WOW - tough read. How do you juggle wanting one's freedom and hold onto traditions? How do you break free of stereotypes and gender roles.

Wonderful short story. I plan on reading her other works.

I love her voice; that said, I thought it was similar to the previous one, which despite deep, sounded not so fresh.
