I wanted this story to work more than the author wanted to write it. I loved the premise, but felt it was stretched too long and unclimatically landed. Would make a great movie though, yes?🤷🏼♀️
This was my first book by this author. It was not bad at all, there are slow bits in the beginning which will have you wanting to turn pages just to see if the story gets better. Let me tell you it does it really does! I liked all the characters I however found lily to be a little strange. I think once this book gets going it is one that you will not be able to put down.
The narrative voice changes annoyed me a bit as well as what I considered a great deal of shallowness from most characters. Still, interested afternoon read with a good cup of hot cocoa.
