This was a fun trilogy. It's the equivalent of a Syfy Original movie in book form. I liked book 3 the best.
Troisième et donc dernier volume de la trilogie qui aura occupé le début de mes vacances au soleil, cet épisode reste dans la lignée des deux premiers, si je peux me permettre ce jeu de mots. Ca se lit bien, ça se lit vite, c'est une bonne saga sur les vampires et leur influence supposée sur notre monde contemporain.
This trilogy definitely ends with a whimper rather than a bang. Everything is wrapped up a little too preciously, and for all the post-apocalyptic terror it never felt like there were any real stakes or consequences at play.
While there is much from the TV show I missed in the book and some parts of the ending that I think were done better in the show, I think reading the books just added to my overall love for the series and world. Sad the story is over but so happy I pick them up.
