This is another book I read for my Children's Literature class, and I actually remember reading this book when I was younger. But rereading it as an adult, I can appreciate it a lot more. The imagery is phenomenal in this book, the way Gary Paulsen strings together words is something similar to magic. I am so happy that I was assigned this book to read because it is a very powerful book and this book relates to current issues that we are still facing as a society; the marginalization and exploitation of minorities.
