I especially enjoyed Part 3 of the book, which is begins with the title poem, “Nine Dragon Island.” That poem is about Kowloon (9 Dragons), Hong Kong, and China. (I bought the collection, along with a collection the author translated from Chinese, because I tuned into a Zoom reading she participated in.)
