Excellent, erudite read. Not an easy book, but fascinating and philosophical. I preferred the first 2/3 of the book and found the last 1/3 a bit slow and plodding, but it's definitely a smart and well thought out journey on the nature of trails and paths.
3.5 stars - some fascinating information and research, but ironically meanders a bit too much to be completely cohesive.
Such a lovely book, I would recommend to all. I took three weeks to finish because I didn't want it to end. For the wanderer in all of us.
