Alfred the possum plays dead when things frighten him, and things frighten him a lot. Sofia the armadillo rolls up in a ball when she is scared, and she gets scared a lot. Alfred and Sofia become friends and talk out their worries, and, together they help teach other animals to be less frightened.
The illustrations are top-notch, and I love the explanation in the back about what animals can and can't really do.
