Y'all, it's fluff. Steamy, sexy fluff. Like a good s'more. Rafe is a sweetheart and Sloane deserved a good man in her life. I wanted to beat the brakes off her ex-husband's sociopathic behind but that's just me.
Absolutely delightful high-heat, low-conflict fluff. There's some mild angst, and this is an employer/employee romance, but I think it's handled well, all things considered. Turn your brain off (in a good way) and relax into reading about a tall, tattooed, ginger-bearded caregiver and a brilliant cardiac surgeon falling in love.
Everything tied up a bit too easily and perfectly but that's kinda what I needed today. I liked that the book mentioned the importance of a paper trail during a custody disagreement. Important.

Rafe: A Buff Male Nanny by Rebekah Weatherspoon is the first book in the "Loose Ends" series. This book is about Dr. Sloan Copeland, M.D who is a single mother to two twin daughters, Avery and Addison. Dr. Copeland needs to find a new babysitter and she gets a recommendation about a male Nanny named Rafe. Well, his references are good and he has the experience so he might be the right person for the job, it also helps that he's very handsome and fit. Will Dr. Copeland and Rafe keep things strictly professional, or will they pursue each other due to mutual attraction?
This romance/erotica felt cozy and wholesome for the most part, it's advertised as low angst and I definitely agree with that assertion. Although the story was cute, it wasn't one of my favorite romance stories but I'm glad I read it, though this isn't a book I could see myself reading again. I did however like the little surprise in the epilogue. I'm a 30 year old non-binary women who is child free by choice, so it's possible that's the reason this story didn't resonate with me.
The spicy scenes were nice, I appreciate that the couple used condoms until they've been dating for a while. I'm giving the spicy scenes three chilies 🌶️🌶️🌶️ out of five chilies
Overall this romance/erotica was cute. I'm giving this 3.75 out of 5 stars.

I listened to this for free on [Hoopladigital.com]
3.5 stars this was really good. I think I would have enjoyed it more if it hadn't taken me a month to read it -.- thanks reading slump. also, there was a little too much straight smut
Two weeks. This entire story took place in a span of two weeks.
Review to come.
SIIIIIDDDEEEE Note- Author states there was an editor but it needs another revision or two.
Re-Read 12.5.2021 I bumped the rating to 5 stars (previously 4 stars). I haven't stopped thinking about this book since I first read it. Every now and then I would re-visit parts of the book and I finally read the book all over again.
I loved it. LOVED IT. LOVED IT. LOVED IT. Initial read I was left at how the hell could so much happen in two weeks? Is it possible, yes. It's just rare. I still love this book much more than the sequel (Xeni and Mason). All aspects of this book were really done well. The character development was really done well. The attraction and connection was done well. At first you think it's one sided and you quickly realize that it is not. The no nonsense communication that happens in this book is so refreshing. Shit was resolved uber quick and I LOVED THAT FOR ME. It irritates me when adults don't know how to communicate. I understood Sloane's apprehension, not knowing how to act or do the things one does when they are feeling someone new after only having one experience to reference back to; so darn long ago at that. I'm glad the hot and cold lasted a few days because that could have driven me mad if it lasted longer and I'm glad it was like hold up, we are about to handle this real quick.
This was such a great read. I'm glad I decided to read it again.
Sexy, delightful romance about a black surgeon/single mother getting taken care of by a hunky man who also happens to be her adorable and wonderful live-in nanny for her twin daughters. More representations of hot men in traditionally “feminine” roles, please! This was my first Weatherspoon, but won't be my last.
