Meh.
Where to even begin unpacking this one...?
Jughead criticizes Betty for believing it's possible for a man and a woman to be just friends. Veronica brushes Archie off, has shots with another guy, and treats him like a pathetic embarrassment. Betty guilt trips Jug for not wanting to go through the usual tourist traps in NYC. And, for as much as I hate both Bughead and Varchie as ships, the one which grows closer and the one which falls apart are completely opposite to what would fit canon.
But most importantly... In what alternate universe is there any point in any season that Veronica, Archie, Betty, and Jughead could get permission to go to New York together to hang out with Veronica's old friends? Better yet, with all the intense plots on the show, why would they want to? (And since when did Veronica even still like those people? She had already turned against her mean girl ways in season one.)
