Hmm... I have mixed feelings about this book. On one hand, Feist's style is still visible, with good character development (of the new characters), but some of the old characters seemed to have deviated from their normal behaviour. Also, the pace is very fast, even though it's supposed to be a reparation sort of conclusion. I suppose it could be due to the author trying to tie up too many loose ends too quickly and possibly trying to create as many hooks as possible that lead on to future series. Overall, while it's a good read, it falls short of the standard set in previous books and series.
