the youngest Stamper's whim after looking out the window. Finally they can not go any further west than a raging river on Oregon coast. Hank and the Father run a Logging operation against all odds to unionize

It was really important to me that I love this book... so it hurts to say that I can't. I can't even read it. I'm just not smart enough. From one paragraph to the next Kesey shifts narrator, time, and place. The context switches are abrupt, unsignaled, confusing. I couldn't keep track of who was speaking or what was going on. I feel ashamed and stupid, because if I were smarter or better I'd be able to read it and love it... but I yam what I yam.
