After years of alcoholism, 40-year-old Jack Rollins is discovered passed out at Stony Mountain Park by the old friends Alonzo and Alonzo's Uncle Lewis. Alonzo and Lewis are Park Rangers. After helping Jack detox, Alonzo, and Lewis get him a job as well. Before Jack even puts on his Ranger uniform, Alonzo and Lewis take him deep into the woods to a log cabin, where Jack is introduced to a 600-lb talking black bear named Raymond.
Alonzo and Lewis have been hiding Raymond after he killed a Trophy Hunter named Larry Brumington in self-defense. Raymond has internet and television to learn about Humanity. While making continuous trips to Raymond's cabin to answer his many questions about what he has been watching or reading, the four form a close friendship. The gang also brings Raymond, Alcohol, and THC gummies. Their Circle grows to include Taylor, their boss Rodger, and his beautiful daughter Camille. When Jack and Camille start a relationship, Jack finds happiness that he's never known before.
All is not well at Stony Mountain Park as people from Larry's past are searching for him. This includes the FBI and Larry's old partner. To make matters worse, a vindictive bureaucrat named Parker Harris is looking for any excuse to fire the whole gang. While Jack is coming to terms with his past. If Jack and his friends aren't careful, they won't have much of a future.
