Love is a journey ~ Rosemary Beach is the destination ... Ten years working for a mysterious crime boss and River "Captain" Kipling is ready to leave his past behind him and move on. The only thing standing in the way is his commitment to launch a new restaurant in the resort town of Rosemary Beach. With his sister, Blaire, nearby, Captain delays his dream of running a bar on the waterfront a little longer, but the unwanted flirty attentions of his head waitress, Elle, has him itching to get out - until he notices Rose Henderson, the new waitress at the restaurant. All Captain knows about the pretty redhead with the cute glasses is that she's a hardworking single mum from Oklahoma. But there's something very familiar about her eyes and her laugh ... something strange about the way she looks at Captain ... could she be a welcome blast from the past?

Wasn't the best, but I still liked it.
The story was to fast, not a lot of development.
I have been eagerly anticipating this addition to the Rosemary Beach series.I didnt get around to reading it until now but what a great read.
River/Captain is one of those characters that was lurking in the background of other books that I really wanted to get to know. I wondered what the depth of his love and strength was and who it was rooted to. And I was not disappointed in the least with this installment.
His love for Addy/Rose is evident from the beginning and their attraction is palpable. (Side note - was reading this while awaiting my daughters at a recital rehearsal and a woman saw a page over my shoulder. She immediately needed to know what book I was reading so she could buy the book as well.)
I love how sweet the interactions are between Captain and Franny were too. What an emotional event and to handle that with the care and concern that it was is a good thing.
I would give this a 4 1/2 star out of 5 star. I rarely am disappointed in an Abbi Glines read and here is not exception. Overall hotness involved and true love conquering all. Left me feeling warm and mushy!
