This book was great! I had heard it was good, and it came up available on digital loan from the library, so I started it thinking it would be a good read for a plane trip. Wow - the twists and turns kept coming, and I didn't see any of them in advance! Great book if you enjoy a good mystery and psychological thrillers.
Star deducted for too much overexplaining. I understood the possible plot twists when they were presented the first time. I didn't need them fully laid out again. I felt like the author didn't trust the reader to keep up with her.
This is one of the books I regretted not reading in 2016. I heard so many good things from so many people that I made sure that I read it early in 2017. I read the entire book in one sitting that is how good it was. What I think I loved the most about it was that by the time I thought I had everything wrapped up in a pretty bow and figured out the author threw another curve ball at me and I was dead wrong! There were parts that I wanted to hurt every single adult in baby Cora's live but I can't really go into why without ruining the story. So all I will say is well done!
I listened to this one on audio and just flew through it!
The pacing is spot on, with short choppy chapters to match the tense, taut dialogue. The plot was twisty and intriguing with some really dispicable characters involved in plots and sub-plots. I thoroughly enjoyed this and will be reading more from this author.
