This was my first Sue Fortin book and it caught my attention because mystery/psychological thrillers are my go-to genre. I rarely find books that I “can't put down”... But this is definitely one of those books. It typically takes me a few chapters to get into a story but this one drew me in right away. I can usually figure out the “whodunnit” or the twist in these stories fairly quickly, but this one had me guessing right up to the end. And even when you get to the end and you think all has been revealed it hits you with one last “a-ha!!” moment that was - for me - completely unexpected. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I felt it took a little bit too long to start getting into the mystery, but once it did there was no letting up. I would definitely recommend this book.
Although I guessed who was behind everything pretty early on, this was still well written and intriguing enough to keep me interested until the end.
