The Color of Secrets

It has a feel of soap opera, with the same characters intertwined throughout the decades, but it was well written, interesting and well developed. Starts in 1943 and finishes over 20 years later, and it has war, prejudice, rape, obliviousness, poverty, family ties, friendship, all in one big pan.
