The Halfling's Court: A Bad-Ass Faerie Tale

Fae Bikers are pretty badass. Danielle Ackley-McPhail writes an action-packed fantasy from the guy's point of view. Lance is the leader of this particular pack and someone is looking to start a fight. The details come as Lance learns them, though we do get a glimpse into the enemy's world every now again.

Lance seems to have a lot of enemies within the same thread to the main one. No one seems to be able to withstand their own evil grudges (laugh). This works for and against Lance. There are secrets though - aren't there always?

McPhail moves the story quickly and some action happens off screen. There is not a lot of description for a fantasy book. McPhail has a minimalist writing style. There is a sequel so it will be interesting to see where McPhail takes us as the story continues.
