3 stars This sequel does not justice to the original Selection. I cannot believe Maxon and America would force their daughter to have her own just to their people, this is ridiculous... Eadlyn is a bit of an annoying brat in the beginning, nothing like her mother during her Selection, and I know it's not fair to compare them as they are two individuals, but yeah. I do think she grows a lot as a character and that's always appreciated. She's flawed, she realizes it and she tries to be better. Also, the comment when people wonder if she's a lesbian just because she's independent and questions why she needs a husband to rule. Can we not. But also why isn't the selection open to both genders? I'm kind of over the cliché hetero relationships in YA.
