Too many head injuries, unrealistic dialogue, and problems that could have been avoided with a 15 minute conversation prior to switching places.
It was cute. Definitely your typical fluffy holiday story like a movie you would find on hallmark. I liked the premise, the two storylines were pretty decent it just didn't super wow or engage me. My favorite parts were toward the ending where the sisters were in the same place interacting. The cozy small town vibes are my favorite and I'd probably really enjoy a book about the girls daily lives in Starlight Peak.
Loved the entire concept of the book and coz of that I was so excited for it but it was so underwhelming....I almost dnfed this but decided to finish and in finish I mean I skimmed through it.
This goes to show that holiday romances are just not for me:(
I was getting annoyed by so many aspects of the book like when they were not able to communicate with each other, there were so many issues that happened that I think could have been solved by communicating and it was SO FREAKING FRUSTRATING!
I did love the des of the various food which is why I gave it 2 stars:)
Closed door holiday romance that leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy inside despite the wintry cold setting, what else can I ask for <3
The Parent Trap (adult version) meets Gilmore Girls. I feel sorry for anyone going into this expecting a romance because it has minimal romance. It is, however, a cute story about identical twins switching places and finding themselves along the way
Twins. Both bakers, one a celebrity on a tv reality show, the other baking at home in the family business. An accident, and one loses her sense of smell. Desperation drives the celebrity baker to ask her twin to change places with her for a week, to finish out the season.
All the fun that ensues when a small-town baker changes places with a big-city baker, including some quick romantic ties.
This book was 100% a Christmas movie (a la Hallmark Movie Channel) in book form. If you need a holiday pick-me-upper book to read while sipping your peppermint mocha and eating your favorite cookies, this is it.
Wasn it the most original story? Nope. Did I read it in a couple hours? Yep.
A twin swap featuring two cute caring hunks? What more could you ask for. Such a comfort read, it feels like you're watching a Christmas movie.
It was cute and the writing was good. It didn't feel super Christmasy but definitely a cozy winter story (set around Christmastime). I agree with some other reviews saying it read like a Hallmark movie plot, which is great if that's your cup of tea. Even though it's not mine, I did enjoy it.
