I’m slightly less bored now, but it really took 100 pages for this to slightly pick up. I still don’t even know what the plot is about. Like, get on with it, already!
I think it’s kind of picking up? But still, isn’t the main idea of this book that there was something else to the story? We’re more than a third of the book in and we still haven’t seen anything about that. It really has just been us watching this teenagers in college and then a traumatized adult pregnant woman. And I really don’t care for that.
We’re finally at the stage where someone’s spilling the beans on what happened that night. But I’m starting to see some gaps in the writing and character building. Maybe this will help me fill them.
What do you mean it’s been 10 years and this girl has the exact same personality? I can see some misgivings in Ware’s writing here.
Finally, finally, after the halfway mark, the story has started to pick up. And I already what twist is. What a shame.
I guess my problem is that I’m just not that convinced by the authors characterization. I can see what see tried to do, but she didn’t really lean it to it enough.
