The Library

Tom finds escape from his troubled father and his potential future working in a dog food factory at the library. There he meets Maggie, an elderly and lonely farm woman. They become friends, working together to stop a movement to close the local library, and, in the process, the friendship makes them both better people.

I'm always up for a book set in libraries, for a book with friendships between the young and the old.
