This book was pretty good, I really enjoyed the story. I gotta say, I hated Posy at first. She was so annoying and I got mad every time she appeared on page and I just didn't want her there, but I warmed up to her by the end of the book, she is not that bad.
I liked watching Este and Mateo fall in love and go through so many things together, I loved the whole academia vibe and the fact that it's the kind of book that will make you want to turn page after page.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. (via Netgalley)
I really enjoyed this. The world building was great and the pacing made it hard to put down. I did figure out the twist early on but I enjoyed the read nonetheless.
3 Stars
A library, ghosts, and enemies to lovers. It was a cute ghosty read. I think it would be a great movie. I like Este trying to follow in her fathers foot steps and the haunted school.
I have received a digital Advance Reader's Copy of this book through the publisher. This has not affected my rating or review in any way.
[Listened to the audiobook narrated by Jeanne Syquia.]
A cute, spooky, and comforting read. Reminiscent of Crave but with less angst and Harry Potter but with more ghosts. I believe that gothic/dark academia fans and cozy contemporary romance readers alike would enjoy this.

My prediction was correct. It was more a 3.5 star read than anything else. As a 3.5 star, it was enjoyable but pretty easy to forget. The first 4 chapters were majorly boring to me while it slowly got better and the end was pretty good. If it had been consistent throughout, it would have been far better. But beggars can't be choosers and this was a solid debut novel.
