The Lollipop Shoes is the sequel to Chocolat, a story of a woman on the move, gifted with the talents inspired by chocolate. Vianne leaves the small town in France where she had so many troubles and she heads to Paris where she assumes a new identity and tries to create an ordinary life for herself, without magic. Into the chocolate shop where Vianne is working arrives Zozie, and suddenly life is more vivid and magical. But what are Zozie's intentions?
I am fascinated with the way the characters use magic in this story. Are there people who can do this? I almost think there are. And are there, like there are for the people in the story, consequences of doing so?
