Getting over Your Vampire Ex is as Easy as Killing Him and Stealing His Girlfriend
Holly Liddell has been stuck with crimped hair since 1987 when she agreed to let her boyfriend, Elton, turn her into a vampire. But when he ditches her at a gas station a few decades into their eternity together, she realizes that being young forever actually means working graveyard shifts at Taco Bell, sleeping in seedy motels, and being supernaturally compelled to follow your ex from town to town―at least until Holly meets Elton’s other exes.
It seems that Holly isn’t the only girl Elton seduced into this wretched existence. He turned Ida in 1921, then Rose in 1954, and he abandoned them both before Holly was even born. Now Rose and Ida want to kill him before he can trick another girl into eternal adolescence, and they’ll need Holly’s help to do it. And once Holly starts falling for Elton’s vulnerable new conquest, Parker, she’ll do anything to save her.
To kill Elton for good, Holly and her friends will have to dig up their pasts, rob a bank, and reconcile with the people they’ve hurt in their search for eternal love. And to win the girl, Holly will have to convince Parker that she’s more than just Elton’s crazy ex―even though she is trying to kill him.

update 26/12/21: lowering my rating coz in hindsight i've already forgotten a lot about this book. it was a quick one time read but didn't really leave much of an impact on me in the end.
i didn't even know how much i needed this book until i read it. it was the perfect quick read to get me out of my mini-slump.for a book with such a small cast of characters, i really did love a lot of them.I loved holly and rose and ida and stacey so fucking much!!! my ragtag bunch of vengeful vampires 🥺 their dynamic was everything, especially the original three.paige, no, parker...was bland and kind of boring but i didn't really *hate her either.
oh i DESPISED elton, is anyone surprised???
i also loved how feminist and casually queer this book was, which really is the perfect combination if you think about it. i mean who doesn't like a book full of badass women??
this was just a great read that may not have been the absolute best thing i've read but was still a ton of fun (even though the ending was a tad unsatisfying).
this book touched on several different topics and they were handled very well imo. the allegory on abuse was also SPOT ON.
i found the rules of vampirism in this book really interesting too.
BASICALLY I LOVE VAMPIRES, GIVE ME MORE VAMPIRE BOOKS!!!
I don't like to echo other reviews, but when it comes to this one, I feel I must. A great premise, the whole girl-power, vampire, revenge, queer-love is right up my alley, and that cover looks like a band poster I'd hang in my room as a teen (or now...yeah, now). But the execution fell flat. Oh. so. very. flat. It just wasn't memorable, and what was most disappointing was that the premise sounded and is great, so the boringness of it all left a...bitter taste in my mouth. An okay book all in all, I won't lie and say it didn't have its moments. I just wish there was more to it.
