Plagued by the creeping loss of her memory, diplomat Bréone Hemmerli continues to negotiate peace in an increasingly climate-devastated world, ensconced in the UN-owned estate Irislands alongside her longtime friend and companion Delphine.
The appearance of the alien Tura in the shadows of Bréone’s garden raises new questions about the world’s decline. Perhaps, together, Tura and Bréone will find a way forward… if only Bréone can remember it.

To be frank, I feel I was missing something with this story, but that could be due to my post-COVID fog, so I will be generous and give this a 4. A case of “it's me, not you”.
A bizarre first-encounter story set in a climate-ravaged world, where an old woman, and former UN liaison, meets a curious being in her garden.
Together they unlock mysteries within themselve. A poignant story about humanity, being, and environmental responsibility, twisting the unreliable narrator.
