Mazey Eddings created a sweet story of two people coming together. Mostly a quick read, I enjoyed all of the characters. This is the third in a series but can be read and enjoyed as a standalone. A solid 3.5 star read. <3

This is the second book I've read by Mazey Eddings and I liked this a lot more than the other, her debut, A Brush with Love. This book has one of my favorite tropes, brother's best friend, and many others I really enjoy. I really enjoyed reading this book, I couldn't put it down!
Love or hate her books, Mazey Eddings is really good at handling mental health in her romances. In this book the MMC is dealing with PTSD and doesn't think he deserves love or can be in a relationship.
I liked that this was a low angst, cozy romance. The main focus was him learning to be emotionally available and vulnerable for a relationship. She was the rock he needed and I loved that! They both took such great care of one another. She was almost too amazing at times in her patience and understanding, but I appreciated that since it's usually the men who are given that role in romance books.
Their chemistry was so good from the beginning, from their banter to the pet names. Their connection felt like it built up in a healthy and solid way. I absolutely loved their love.
At times it felt a bit like one big ad for therapy, but that's not such a bad thing when you consider the stigma still against it.
I really and I mean REALLY didn't like the MC's brother. He was so selfish and annoying.
Thank you so much to St Martin's Griffin and NetGalley for the eARC!
I think this was my favorite in the entire series. I absolutely loved the banter between Indira and Jude. Jude is a precious bean who must be protected at alllll costs. Jeremy and Collin were also the absolute CUTEST. I don't want to say too much to spoil it but I loved it so much!
If you haven't read the first two books, I DEFINITELY recommend reading them before this one comes out! They're all so amazing and you won't regret it.
Tigger warnings are presented at the beginning of the book. Please check those before reading. To me the author handled the issues with care.
Narrators: this story is told in third person POV with both a male and female narrator. Both narrators chosen for this audiobook did a good job bringing the story and characters to life.
Story: This is my favorite in this series. Part of it was because I related so much to this book, but it also because this story was was more about the relationship and forming their connection than the spice.
The main characters and their mental health was handled with care. They are there for one another as you hope one can be there for you in that situation. The side characters were enjoyable.
This is the third in this series, but reads as a standalone.
Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the opportunity to read and review this book.
