I don't know if I have anything to say about this book. I thought I was going to be reading something different - a South American crime novel with perhaps some intrigue and depth - but it felt like just another literary novel with a dead-inside male protagonist who makes convoluted, self-important choices that I do not understand. I appreciate this book's attempt to talk about collective trauma, but mostly this was dull, depressing and horrendously long for a not-even-300-page book.
