For many moons, a tribe of cats have lived peacefully near the top of a mountain. But prey is scarce and season are harsh—and their leader fears they will not survive. When a mysterious vision reveals a land filled with food and water, a group of brave young cats set off in search of a better home.
But great danger awaits them. In this unfamiliar world, faced with loners and fierce rogues all vying for territory and power, the traveling cats must find a new way to live side by side—or risk tearing one another apart.

Turtle Tail is the best cat
- ok so this is the start of the new Clans, meaning I already know how this ends so it makes me really impatient to get it on with
- not a single character except Gray's Wing & Turtle Tail (maybe Jagged Peak) has a good consistent characterization and it drives me crazy
- i just want Wind and Thunder to become leaders, and i'm assuming Tall Shadow will be shadowclan and clouded sky will become skyclan if that already exists in this timeframe, but idk where river is
The characters were really flat and at points straight up annoying lmao, the plot was fine, I know it's hard to shove/sugarcoat kinda such a long and harsh story into a kids book. The deaths were pretty brutal, they did a good job with them ngl. Really don't like clear sky and gray wings relationship? It just seems so flat and like there's barely any emotion or thought behind it. I do think turtle tail and bumble are lesbians and happy together tho I appreciate that one
