I’ve been blogging slice of life misadventures for thirty years. Even though I left the rural New Mexico ranch where I grew up, it followed me around, advising me against stepping in cow patties usually after I had just done so. The star of the show in these tales is mostly my dad, recalcitrant cats, rogue cows...and maybe me, the reluctant cowgirl, trying to find that elusive road through life and hoping to find even one driveable road out on the ranch. "There's a Road Here Somewhere" is a compilation of the real life adventures that were the inspiration behind the fictional crime novel, "Soul of the Desert."
