Maisie Dobbs always brings a bit of fun to a mystery, and this one was no different. If you have enjoyed the first few books in the series, you are going to love this one!
They just get better as the series progresses and the character becomes more defined.
Dive into the beginning of WWII, and a disappearance that will leave you wanting even more of the story!
This story has a mystery surrounding a young boy apprentice who cannot be located and of course, foul events are afoot. But what was more interesting is the stories that surround the regular characters including tying some of them to the events at Dunkirk. It seems that every book or so tends to focus on the characters and their lives while the other volume is more of the traditional mystery. At least that's how I remember them.
So, if you like Maisie, Billy, the cast of characters at Chelstone, this story will be particularly interesting to you.
