This book was okay. It kept me interested throughout, but I have no desire to pursue the series further. I felt like there was so much it could have done with the day of the dead celebration, but that was barely even a factor in the story. None of the twists actually surprised me. I also felt the love story was terribly fast. It didn't seem like it had time to become love at all really. The villains were basically incompetent proven by how many times people escaped from them in this book, making it really not seem as threatening as it was supposed to.
The big thing I did enjoy though was that her skills she learned from movies kept coming up in ways to help her save herself.
Overall though, I would not recommend.
