'A brilliant, breathless thriller that kept me guessing to the last shocking page'--Erin Kelly, Sunday Times bestselling author of He Said/She Said A vicious assault. A devastating accusation. Who should she trust, her husband or her best friend? It was supposed to be the perfect reunion: six university friends together again after twenty years. Host Ali finally has the life she always wanted, a career she can be proud of and a wonderful family with her college boyfriend, now husband. But that night her best friend makes an accusation so shocking that nothing will ever be the same again. When Karen staggers in from the garden, bleeding and traumatised, she claims that she has been assaulted--by Ali's husband, Mike. Ali must make a split-second decision: who should she believe? Her horrified husband, or her best friend? With Mike offering a very different version of events, Ali knows one of them is lying--but which? And why? When the ensuing chaos forces her to re-examine the golden era the group shared at university, Ali realises there are darker memories too. Memories that have lain dormant for decades. Memories someone would kill to protect.

Wow, that was just wow! That was such an amazing read that I managed to read it in less than a day! From the first page to the last it kept your attention throughout! A definite page turner!
Obviously felt really awful for Karen, but also felt sympathetic towards Ali who really found herself between a rock and a hard place! Her husband on one side and her best friend on the other! Not to mention how after the first allegation everything went downhill. The saying ‘it doesn't rain, but it pours' couldn't have been more apt!
Felt awful for Cassie, Ali and Mike's daughter, too. How awful for her that she suffered because of the alleged crime of her father. It's probably unsurprising that people would turn against you when someone you know (especially with it being her father) is accused of such a serious crime, but I really felt bad for Cassie.
The twists and turns kept coming, making it a totally engrossing book! I really couldn't put it down.
The ending was a shock, I really didn't see that coming!
Great book and I would definitely recommend it to others!
It was a very normal story
Maybe it's just because I've come from reading high-fantasy but this felt very plain and too grounded for me.
There are some good plot twists and the characters are portrayed well but I just didn't have a NEED to read more by this author like I have previously with others.
