When in Rome...

I read about 50 pages and put this down. I couldn't continue. I found the main character dislikable and her situation uninteresting. She was dating a nice guy but lusted and wanted to impress her old boyfriend without the least bit of guilt. It was like watching reality tv where everyone is horrible to each other. Why would I choose to read a whole book like that? My time is too precious.
