Never read this as a kid. Read to me by Christopher Walken.

Read it when I was a little kid. A classic.

This books has never been my cup of tea. The underlying messages with in the book are good, I guess. Don't judge someone based on appearance and unncondtional love. They are all good messages, but sadly many are unrealistic and forgotten as we mature.
It is not a bad book to read just not my cup of tea.

A lot of fun for kids!

I read this aloud for my brother. I don't know it was fine but I guess I expected a little more.

Now this book brought back so many memories - its crazy they made a movie based on this

For kids of all ages. A classic.

Keep kids interested and entertained no matter how many times I read it to them. Great way to calm them down.

I reviewed this book 10 years ago, pre children. Both my kids love this book, and I love reading it to them. It's a firm favourite in this house!

Three stars may seem a bit low for a book that I am fully aware is a classic childrens book. Unfortunately the first time i read this book was when i was 23, so the reason I give it three stars is just because I don't have that childhood link to this book, so reading it for the first time at that age, it really just didn't “get me” in a way I'm sure it would have if I had been read it from a very young age.

A masterful, timeless work of artistry that continues to be a favorite.

Peak children's book about growing up that doesn't feel preachy. Super effective book.
