Disappointing suspense novel. Characters undeveloped and unlikeable. Main characters each deceptive in their own way and actually deserve each other. But only one wins in the end.
3.5 stars. I enjoyed this a lot, but I'm not going to lie...there were a few parts where I was yelling at Florence for being so stupid. Also, I feel like someone from the State Department would have the resources to look up someone's social security number and see a registered driver's license or passport photo.
Wow! I am having trouble putting my feelings into words about this book. I guessed part of a couple of the twists pretty early on, but there were still more twists coming that I didn't expect. The charcters were less likable than I expected and that added to the thriller feeling of the book. The settings of upstate New York and Morroco were both very well done. This is a good creepy mystery where the people are the scariest part.
