Those that are strong enough are conscripted by the Witch Guard, who enforce the law in peacetime and protect the land during war. Witchy is a young adult graphic novel about the young witch Nyneve, who is haunted by the death of her father and the threat the Witch Guard poses to her own life. When conscription rolls around, Nyneve has a choice to make; join the institution complicit in her father’s death, or stand up for her ideals?

I got this in an Owlcrate box and I do not think I ever would have read it otherwise. This graphic novel had a great premise and I loved the characters but the story itself left much to be desired and I really didn't like the art style. Because I didn't like the art, I struggled with the rest of the story. Plus this is an incomplete comic/novel. You are left having no idea what happens.
The art is great and the story and universe original. But for a reason I can't really explain I just didn't fell in love with the story.
I would perfectly understand that people find it exceptional but I just forced a bit myself to read the end of it to be honest.
