it was a fine book. was listening to it on the last road trip, wouldn't be chancing the sequel or anything.
there is something so magical about poetry. I really need to be reading more of it. Ten Bridges I've Burnt was a wild ride. I recommend it!
really interesting book, fascinated by the mind that could write it... brilliant beyond belief.
it's worth a read just to experience it, but the experience is worth more than the words on the page.
This was shockingly simplistic, yet heartbreaking at the same time. Suprised it took me this long to read it. I'd highly recommend!
Still excited to see this series through, but this one just didn't have the umph that the first one did, but boy what a cliffhanger!
This was a pretty good start to get back into the world of comic books. I am very interested to see the outcome of this story! Also, the art is beautiful.
I really enjoyed Blade Runner. I have yet to see the movie, so maybe that helped. Philip K. Dick knows how to write to me. This book kept me guessing and wondering what was what. It was a nice feeling...
Read this over vacation after buying it ages ago. Really wish I kept this on the bookshelf unread as it did not live up to any sort of expectation I had for it. Maybe there were things lost in translation, but I felt that even though this was a short book, it felt very long reading it.
a wonderful book that raised a lot of conversation points between my partner and I throughout the entirety of the book. Highly recommend!
I am disappointed with this book on the premise of its title; explaining how to achieve gender diversity. I agree with other reviews that this book felt rushed and poorly edited. I agree that this book would have benefited from a diversity of editors/reviewers before publishing.
I am glad of the topics this book raised that led to some very interesting conversations with people around me, but I wish the conversations were driven by the text of this book. They just couldn't have been.
Interesting idea for a book, wish the overall writing was better and it had stronger plot points.
This was an enjoyable short read. I didn't know much about what I was getting into, I purchased this book ages ago, but ended up really wanting to hear the conclusion. I'd recommend this book if you are looking for a feel-good science fiction book.
I recently had a road trip ahead of me and thought it would be a good time to learn more about minimalism. Wish I looked elsewhere, I was trapped in the car for two long with this book. It started off good and there were a few take-aways that I got from this, but overall I felt the book to be very pushy and not within the mindset of other minimalism resources I have looked into.
I would highly recommend skipping this and looking elsewhere for your introduction into minimalism!
Thought this was an excellent follow-up to Ender's Game. Even though it was completely different in context, I feel like it was a great step forward in the series.
Wow, that was a great book. One of the better ones I have listened to in quite some time
One of the better books I have read in a long time. It kept my attention from beginning to end; solid 5 stars.
I am not sure how I feel about this book. The whole thing was super engaging and interesting except the resolution... and that left a terrible feeling towards this book. Not sure why it was wrapped up so quickly or without any real resolve. Too bad.
After really enjoying the Stormlight Archives, I want to read all of Sanderson's work. This was an amazing next choice!
This was an interesting easy read that I'd recommend to only the people starting off this journey of understanding wealth. Most of the concepts were basic and could be learned elsewhere. However, I would be lying if I said I didn't pick up a few good tidbits from this book. I really loved the explanation of values versus goals and really need to sit with that lesson a bit more.
It was pretty good, but worth a second listen. Haven't been in the mindset of philosophy in a while, so it was a nice change of pace.
