Fantastic book. Can't wait for the next in the series.

This is one of the books I am reading to get in the mood for my Eclipse Phase Game.

This is a very interesting Sci-Fi book. I could not really get into the First Culture book “consider phlebas” but after finishing this one I think I am going to have to give it another try.

The interesting aspect of the book is that it describes futuristic games in a way that I don't quite get a real sense of what is going on, however I get enough of the feeling for the games played that I understand it in general terms.
Very interesting for a gamer of any caliber.

I still can't decide if I actually liked the book. It is a very, VERY strange story, and I was intrigued and mystified by aspects of it. I recommend the book for those who want a strange journey into mystery and continuousness.

I enjoyed Mindstar Rising. I was in a cyberpunk mood and this gave me everything that I was looking for in a novel. Dystopian Corporate Schemes, futuristic technology, and psychic power.

Good Read.

I like these characters and author, but I the heavy Asian theme wasn't my thing. the story was still good, but I look forward to reading the next one, when the characters get back to the inner sea
